Beer Revolution (Pty) Ltd. is the holding company behind the Beerhouse brand with three existing stores on Long Street Cape Town, Fourways and Centurion. And the vision to have 25 stores by 2020.
We are looking for a skilled HR manager to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. Driving forward the effective and efficient HR operations for Beer Revolution and its operating companies.
We are looking for an all rounder with an entrepreneurial spirit wanting to bring their knowledge and expertise to create and refine HR systems for a number of legal entities.
Must be a stickler for detail and have in depth knowledge of regulatory requirements when setting up systems like payroll, rewards, workplace skills plans and performance management.

Strategic Overview:
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the HR Manager will assume full operational responsibility for all aspects of the HR function:
- Talent acquisition and talent management strategies
- Training and leadership development
- Compensation and benefits
- Organisational development
- Communication and employee relations
- Compliance
Key Objectives:
- Partner with the all business stakeholders to drive the aggressive expansion plan of the Company’s own retail store network; focusing on recruitment, retention, pay structure and performance management.
- Manage industrial and employee relations, including chairing of disciplinary enquiries.
- Develop, communicate and ensure effective execution of Human Resources processes including annual performance assessments, succession and manpower planning, Employment Equity reporting, and employee / leader development.
- Partner with the Finance team for payroll-related matters, including headcount budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure that Human Resources policies and practices are consistent with and support the Company’s compliance with local regulations.
- In collaboration with internal clients and key stakeholders; develop appropriate policies and programs for effective people-management including employee relations, Affirmative Action, sexual harassment, Workers’ Compensation, employee complaints, external education / career development and relocation.
- Maintain a knowledge of international HR policies, laws and general matters and recognise the difference between domestic and global policies; coordinating effective integration thereof.
- Develop progressive and competitive compensation, recognition and reward programs to provide motivation and incentives for excellent performance.
- Establish programs to actively engage an effective employee / company partnership, to meet short and long-term strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute talent acquisition and staffing strategies and programs.
- Maintain overall coordination of the company’s recruiting, on-boarding, development, promotion and relocation activities.
Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum five years’ Human Resources experience, with a minimum of two years in a managerial role.
- Experience in hospitality and / or retail sector/s.
- Accomplished at analysing Human Resources related challenges and developing creative solutions.
- Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Sound experience with South African Human Resource-related statutes and regulations.
- Able to analyse, summarise and effectively present information to both small and large groups.
- Excellent PC skills (MSOffice: Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Qualifications:
University Degree in related field or advanced Human Resources certifications.
