Featuring: Princess Mbonambi

Beerhouse’s very own self-confessed Diva, Princess Mbonambi; Head Chef and mama to two energetic, inquisitive and head-strong boys; is a force to be reckoned with. She is the oldest in her family, born into a long line of strong female figures that cultivated and encouraged her passion; drive and ambition. Princess was born and raised in iconic Soweto. She moved from a small town called Lawley in the South of Jozi to a neighbourhood called Dawn Park on the East Rand. Princess’s childhood dream was always to be a business woman heading-up and driving a huge empire and taking over the world… “Watching too much Wonder Woman” #SaidNoGirlEver… Princess was also very good with her hands and sketching designs and cooking from recipe books was the norm from when she was 10 years old or at least “that’s what (her) mama says”. Princess’s secret super-power is definitely more Wonder Woman than Designer Chef – she has the uncanny ability to read the energy of people without saying a single word to them. That and she remains focused and positive even in the toughest and grimmest of times. Currently in her third year with Beerhouse, Princess has developed a strong bond with her alter-BeerEgo: Legends Cookies and Cream. Much like Princess, both Princess and Legends Cookies and Cream have such sweet names but once you get to know them, they hoppy spices come out.
3 reasons why Princess loves being the Head Chef at Beerhouse Fourways:

1. “The vision-driven ideals.”

2. “The culture of breaking moulds and developing futuristic concepts.”

3. “The fact that all the looney toons that all grew up, all landed up in Beerland.”

Princess’s WHY… her reasons for working at Beerhouse: “I work at Beerhouse firstly because it’s been more than just a workplace but a home for the last three years, and with the future prospects of the company, I can grow and learn more about turning a start-up into a fully-fledged business and also be a part of the growth.”
