Featuring: Annemie Kleinloog
Mermaids exist! Or at least that’s what Annemie Kleinloog thought when she was much younger… Annemie Kleinloog has been the Assistant General Manager at Beerhouse Long Street since August 2017.
A brand new member of the team; she is already using her secret super-power of Incredible Influence, pushing the Long Street Team to be better; faster; sharper. Annemie lived most of her life in Robertson – the Valley of Wine and Roses. Moving to The Mother City was a bit of an adjustment for her and swapping wine for beer was not easy. But she has learned to love the process of Brewing Beer and is developing a love for all things #Beer. As a youngster, Annemie genuinely wanted to be a mermaid. As she says “Physically, I turned out to look more like Ursula the Sea-Witch…hahahaha” Needless to say, it was heartbreaking for little Annemie to come to terms with the fact that mermaids only exist in fairytales.
All grown-up now, Annemie is more like her alter-BeerEgo: the Woodstock Californicator. They share something so intimate that it’s impossible to not put Annemie and the Woodstock Californicator in the same sentence. The Woodstock Californicator epitomises the meaning of Annemie’s name… Bitter Grace. Ofcourse Annemie is all grace while the Woodstock Californicator is less grace and a bit more bitter.
3 reasons why Annemie loves being the Assistant General Manager at Beerhouse Long Street:
- “Yellow happens to be one of my favourite colours.”
- “The buzz of Cape Town.”
- “The infectious happy vibe that is Beerhouse.”
Annemie’s WHY… her reasons for working at Beerhouse: “That question always makes me think of that joke where the interviewee answers the interviewer by saying ‘because I don’t want to starve to death’. All jokes aside, success breeds success and I want to grow with the Beerhouse banner of success.”
We’re celebrating #WomensMonth2017 with all the ladies who #LoveBeer and are headlining the #BeerRevolution with the #SheLovesBeer movement. Meet Annemie at Beerhouse Long Street and join in the #BeerhouseGees – #WeGotBeer AND #WeGotFood
