We are proud to announce our very first graduate class of Explorers at Beerhouse Fourways. Following hard on the heels of their colleagues at Beerhouse on Long – who passed the test last month – this group of Navigators has completed a three-month training course on the brewing process, core ingredients, beer styles and our service manual The Beerlovers Journey.
To gain the badge, Explorers have to prove they can navigate Beerlovers through Beerland by providing excellent attentive service and having strong product knowledge. The eight graduates (from left to right) are Khosi, Lucky, Godfrey, Frank, (a proud trainer – me), Patience, Max, Duncan and Leslie. We are proud of their achievement and are confident they are the best-trained beer servers in South Africa. The next step for the Explorers is to gain their Hop Head badges. To become a Hop Head, Explorers must be the masters of all things beer, and more importantly, start to teach others about the wonders of Beerland.
As we continue to educate and train these and our other talented and enthusiastic staff to industry-leading standards, we’re encouraging the public to join us: our weekly Beer School for Navigators will be open to public on Monday evenings with free training and beer tasting.
