It is with a heavy heart, that we need to announce the sudden closure of Beerhouse Fourways at our current location in Pineslopes. After 5 years and building a loyal following we are urgently searching for better premises to be able to continue serving the beer-loving community in Johannesburg. We invite everyone to join us for one last drink before we close the doors at our old Pineslopes home on the night of Saturday, August 31st to move to a new location.
THIS PARAGRAPH IS REMOVED FOR NOW AS THE LANDLORD’s LAWYER IS THREATENING AN URGENT COURT INTERDICT. Will return after legal review.
We had to give up our hopes of staying at Pineslopes and are now focused on finding a new location for Beerhouse. What is most heartbreaking however is as a consequence of this unscheduled move I am now, forced to let go of 44 highly trained employees, that are now looking for new employment!
This forced interruption to a local success story, that managed to turnover stable income (average R1.5m a month) in a down economy is unfortunate, but I am now looking for potential sites and operational equity partners to reopen bigger and stronger than ever! If you believe you have what we need, contact me at randolf@beerhouse.co.za. This is also a good chance to launch a new crowdfunding campaign for Beerhouse Fourways 2.0 once we found a suitable site. The existing pioneering equity crowdfunding campaign for Beerhouse Tygervalley continues, as this is a separate legal entity and we have offered Fourways employees to relocate to Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs.
In the meantime, please contact the team at fourways@beerhouse.co.za if you got vacant positions for loyal and hard-working hospitality professionals or with supplier-related questions. All invoices will be paid as per usual.
I want to thank the loyal Beerhouse following for consuming 375,694 litres of beers from 7829 kegs and 426,735 bottles over the last 5 years in Fourways and promise to come back in yellow as soon as we can!
Stay thirsty, stay curious!

This is very sad to hear. Why not bring beer house closer to Randpark Ridge side?
There has been a huge floor space standing vacant for long now at BellAirs shopping Centre. It used to be the Cattle Baron restaurant.
It would be amazing to have Beer house this part of the world and I can imagine the rent would be alot cheaper.
